Half of these were featured in the Temecula History Museum's Rotating exhibit, during the "Anime" Exhibit.
"Post-Mortem" as a triptych represents the process of hurt and healing through metaphorical death and revival, using motifs of the balance of values, color, direction, and linework to display growth and change.
The wide-eyed deer in the third of the series calls back to the artist's earlier artwork on the same themes, "Pertaining To Simpler Days."

A deer is perpetually caught in headlights, scared of the darkness, and scared of the light.
This piece is about trauma, and survival. This piece is about the aftermath, learning to cope with PTSD, and ultimately moving forward in a positive direction.
